Welcome back to another episode of the Renegade Arcade Reloaded! This time around, Neoplasmic and Organoid Zero are joined by our wonderful friends and contributors, Rynkoth, Red, and Rogue, also known as the R Squad (I just made that up), as we discuss the best games of 2024, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Metaphor ReFantazio, Tekken 8, Black Myth Wukong, Astro Bot, Stellar Blade, Marvel vs. Capcom Arcade Classics Collection, Infinity Nikki, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Marvel Rivals, and much more! Hello, Renegades! It’s Neo with the notes here! We hope you enjoy this soft relaunch of the gaming podcast (our second one this year, actually)! Perhaps some of our choices may be a little unconventional, but each of us has our own personal tastes in games and we wanted to share a different take on this year in gaming. I’m excited to have a group of awesome people to discuss our favorite hobby with and as a rule, I’m always in favor of keeping the conversation inclusive and open. We don’t gatekeep here at RPC, so if you’re from the old school generations (like I am), or the later iterations of gaming, we want to be a place where everyone can share their passion for games!
With that in mind, we had cozy games on this list, simulation titles, fighting games, action games, RPGs… Basically any genre you can imagine, we have on this list! Even though we couldn’t fit every single game we loved into the podcast (Dead Island 2 was one that was definitely on my list and I forgot to mention it!), we think we came up with a pretty awesome selection! We genuinely love you all and hope you enjoy the podcast, even the spicier takes that some of us have to offer!
As I’m posting this, it is in fact Christmas day (well, evening), so Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year to you all!!! We’ll see you in 2025 with more gaming content and more episodes of the Renegade Arcade!!!

For the past several days, I’ve wondered how to approach the dismantling of Game Informer magazine, as well as its website and social media presence, by GameStop management. After 33 years of publishing, the entire editorial and design team was laid off on Friday, August 2, and the website was gutted and turned into a single landing page. While the demise of yet another pillar of print publications in the video game space is not unexpected news in this era of the internet, I’d still like to take a look back at Game Informer’s history, what it means to me, and how much it meant to the industry at large.
