The Lion King (1994)
Everybody has their own story about the first time they’ve seen the movie, whether it was in theaters or on home video. I wasn’t even 2 years old in the summer of ‘94, but once the movie became available on VHS the following year, it was on constant repeat in the Kaye household! I watched this movie so much as a child that I started to get a little sick of it as a teenager, well into my 20’s. However, seeing it last weekend in theaters really helped me rediscover my love for this film. It is a cinematic masterpiece that fires on all cylinders, with stellar animation, incredible music, and a timeless coming of age story.
“Even after its release 30 years ago, the 1994 classic is still a groundbreaking and historically important film with a truly epic and timeless tale.“ -The Animation Guru
