This is our award-worthy episode, with Chloe Zhao's Nomadland, Shaka King's Judas and the Black Messiah, Aaron Sorkin's Trial of the Chicago 7, Paul Greengrass' News of the World, and Darius Marder's The Sound of Metal all taking center stage for this installment of our movie review podcast! All of these films are great in one aspect or another, and made with passion and artistry, and that's a great accomplishment!

We had the absolute pleasure of speaking to the filmmaking duo behind the indie drama/thriller White Lie, Yonah Lewis and Calvin Thomas! We dive deep into their history, influences, and the process of making the film, which turned out to be one of my personal favorite films of the year (though it technically came out in 2019 at TIFF).
