Best Metal Albums of 2022 - Renegade Jukebox #28
Captain Kaye and Nick celebrate the best of what 2022 had to offer in Metal!
What’s going on, everyone? This is your Captain speaking, and welcome to the new year! Before we move forward with our next big project, Nick and I wanted to share some of our favorite records from the previous year. In my opinion, I think this might be one of the strongest years in Metal, with Deathcore in particular becoming the MVP. Tune into the podcast to hear our full discussion!
That’ll do it for this episode! Thank you as always for joining us, and stay tuned for more Best of 2022 celebrating over on Renegade Marquee!
Nick and Mike are back with a new show for Renegade Jukebox, What Happened To This Band!? And with all of the current drama and past controversies? We couldn’t help ourselves but do an episode on As I Lay Dying. The Metalcore band that launched plenty of watered down acts and their reputation tarnished, but was their music genuinely good? Take a listen and find out!
Why We Love This Band returns, and who's on the docket this time? A band perfectly meant for this series, Lamb Of God. Arguably the most consistent catalog in heavy metal, Lamb Of God have been dropping classic albums for almost 3 decades now. So of course, Nick & Mike had to do an episode on them.
Another Why We Love This Band episode? You know Nick and Mike wouldn't put something like this together for no reason. No, today, July 8th is the 20th anniversary of Metallica's documentary Some Kind Of Monster. And since they're talking about the biggest metal band of all time, they figured why not talk about their back catalog, the subject of this notorious documentary St. Anger, and what happened afterwards.
In the ninth and final(?) episode of The Dirt: A Motley Crue Retrospective, Mike and Nick have reached the Crue's last album, Saints of Los Angeles! It's the 45th episode of the Renegade Jukebox and the finale of one of our most well-received miniseries! Enjoy!
