Brock and Mike return to discuss episode 24 of one of the greatest anime series ever, Gurren Lagann, as Simon and Team Dai-Gurren teleport through space attempting to find Nia and the Anti-Spiral homeworld. Little do they know what awaits them in the darkness of space…
Well, it’s all coming down to these last four episodes. Simon and the team finally make their way through space as they track down Nia, but the Anti-Spirals are waiting for them. While the Galaxy Dai-Gurren is a huge and powerful vessel, the question remains… Can they cut through the entirety of the Anti-Spiral forces to get to Nia? Simon believes they can, but knows it shall not be easy.
While the space battle in this episode is impressive, and there are a larger amount of casualties than I thought there would be, it’s really the end of the episode that makes the biggest impact here. I mean, there’s an ocean in space??? What the heck? This show gets crazier and crazier, and that’s exactly how it should be!
In the end, there are a lot of directions this show could go in, but they all lead to one thing: Simon’s reunion with Nia. Should be a doozy of an escape and final battle against the Anti-Spirals coming up, and I can’t wait to see it!
