Star Wars: Visions Volume 2
As much as I loved the combination of Star Wars and anime in Volume 1, one of my notes was that I wanted to see a little more variety in the types of stories being told in each short. As it turns out, Volume 2 delivered exactly what I asked for. These 9 shorts offered variety in both animation styles and cultures represented. Some of my favorites from this batch were “Sith,” from Spain’s El Guiri Studios, “Screecher’s Reach,” from Ireland’s Cartoon Saloon, and "Journey to the Dark Head," from Korea’s Studio Mir.
"While Volume 1 was hit and miss, Volume 2 of Star Wars Visions is a home run from beginning to end. Going global with the studio collaborations unleashes a spark of creativity that the franchise has deeply needed. My favorite shorts were ‘Sith,’ ‘Screecher’s Reach,’ ‘The Spy Dancer,’ and ‘Aau’s Song.’” -The Animation Guru
